Warriors come to play against Master's

Posted on 01.17.08 at 11:56 PM

In the words that Coach Ferguson has been known to use from time to time, "The Warriors came to play tonight." Wheaton Academy visited the Master's Academy in Oviedo, Florida on Thursday evening for their second and final game in the Orlando area.

The unified Warriors came out sharp and full of energy--a sharp contrast to Tuesday's dismal effort against Orangewood in which they narrowly pulled out a win.

Wheaton Academy jumped to an early lead, and never lost that lead throughout the game's entirety. The team grabbed a noticeable number of offensive rebounds, and successfully stressed their fast break game.

Benjamin Euler led the team with 15 points, and Paul Werkema had 10.

WA improves to 12-4 on the season with Thursday night's win, and will fly back to Illinois on Saturday.
