WA drops PSL Tournament game to CCHS

Wheaton Academy suffered a disappointing 63-40 loss to Chicago Christian on Friday afternoon at Aurora Christian in the 5th place game of the first annual PSL tournament.

Things did not go the Warriors' way, as they went 14-for-42 from the field (33%), and scored only 6 points in the second quarter. The Warriors were outscored 22-6 in the second and 20-11 in the fourth.

Paul Werkema led all scores with 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Quinn Gorski scored 8, and Benjamin Euler and David Toellen each contributed 7.

The team has one game remaining before the state tournament on next Thursday at Montini at 7:00 PM.
