Friday night's PSL matchup in Elmhurst belonged to Wheaton Academy from start to finish, as the Warriors earned a 74-62 win. The Warriors got off to a hot start with patient offensive ball movement, creating open looks from behind the arc, as Benjamin Euler (23 points) and John Albaugh (14 points) cashed in on such opportunities. Although the Warriors worked the ball around for good shots, the Timothy Trojans stayed in the game on a trio of three pointers from Timothy guard Kyle Lukianuk.

Solid defensive play from freshmen Tim Rusthoven (9 points), combind with his crafty offensive moves continued to propel Wheaton Academy in the second quarter. WA held an eighteen point lead at the half, and secured the victory in the third quarter playing team basketball on both ends of the court. Joel Malmquist scored 14 points for the Warriors, in addition to dunking the ball off of a steal.

The fourth quarter warranted contributions from Jason Roy, Sean Berbert, Charles Francis, and Eric Albaugh. Mike Lindstedt went three-for-three from the field, scoring a season high 6 points. All in all, Friday night's win, which improves Wheaton Academy's conference record to 2-0, was a team effort. WA handled full court pressure well, was patient offensively, and moved the ball extremely effectively.

Tomorrow night the Warriors will go to battle with an always hard opponent, St. Francis. The 7:30 PM tip off time in the Spyglass Center in Wheaton will be a test for the Warriors. While WA has the clear size advantage, the Spartans have an aggressive group of guards who will put consistant pressure and play hard.
