20 Point Win at Illiana makes WA PSL Co-Champs Game #25 • Tuesday, February 20, 2007 • Away • PSL • 7:30 PM The Warriors came to play Tuesday night after learning of the fact that if they won, they would share the PSL title with Chicago Christian, as both teams would have a 7-1 conference record. It was Wheaton Academy's patient offense that led them to the twenty point victory Tuesday night in Lansing. After starting the game out cold, the Warriors started to get a feel for the game, and took their time offensively. In addition, the team rebounded expectionally well, limiting Illiana's second chance attempts. At the half, WA led 28-19, and they continued to increase that lead in the opening minutes of the third quarter. Overall, it was a great team effort as they closed the game out with a comfortable lead. John Albaugh handled the pressure from Illiana extremely well Tuesday night, driving to the basket, drawing the foul, and completing three point plays to total a game-high 21 points. Benjamin Euler scored 14 points as well in the win. Wheaton Academy will have four days of practice to prepare for the state tournament, opening up against Wheaton Warrenville South on Monday night (February 26th) at 7:30 PM at Glenbard East.
