The first half for the Wheaton Academy Warriors (14-11) was the culmination of four years spent developing in the program for the five starting seniors Tuesday night in the LeTourneau Gymnasium. It was a near perfect performance for WA, who jumped out to a 27-8 lead after the first quarter, and extended that lead to 26 with a score of 48-22 at the half. Everyone shot the ball well, including John Tillery (21 points) who led the team in points tonight, Axel Cerny (9 points), and Nate Williams (17 points). The offense created easy layups for WA who scored 22 of their first half 48 points off of two-point shots.

After a rocky start to the third quarter, the Warriors recovered to play a solid second half, maintaining a 20 point lead throughout. Joel Malmquist (10 points) was productive off the bench, and Jeremy Parker (8 points) contributed as well. Wheaton Academy's intense and intelligent defensive pressure created a lot for the team on the offensive end in this well-officiated basketball game. Coach Euler's team will face a tough team in Chicago Christian Friday night (will be broadcasted LIVE) in the last home game of the season. After that the remaining schedule for WA includes one final game at Montini, and then the start of the AA Regional tournament at Geneva High School on February 27th.
