The Warriors stepped onto the court Tuesday night in front of a somewhat deserted Warrior Dome due to a number of factors ranging from Winterim to the fact that it was a Tuesday night game. The atmosphere though, seemingly had no affect on the team, who came away with an eleven-point PSL win over Christian Life. Turnovers in the first half hurt WA, allowing a 14-point first quarter for Christian Life. Wheaton Academy continued to play simply average at best in the second quarter, and held a slim 26-25 advantage at the half.

A strong third quarter by senior forward Jeremy Parker (14 points), who led the team in scoring propelled the Warriors to outscore the Eagles 15-10 and take a 41-35 lead. The game remained relatively close in the fourth quarter, but Wheaton Academy never gave up their lead. Two fast break layups by Parker, three buckets including a three-point play by Benjamin Euler (13 points), and Jason VanderVeen's (4 points) perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line down the stretch led the 5-8 Warriors to victory.

Wheaton Academy shot 10/12 (83%) from the free throw line compared to Christian Life's 18/26 (69%). Foul trouble cost the Warrior's starting five time out of the game, but solid bench play filled in. The team will travel to St. Louis, Missouri after a week of practice on Friday afternoon and play against Westminster on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 PM. WA lost to Westminster last year at home 75-58.
