Wheaton Academy traveled into Chicago Friday night to face PSL opponent Luther North. The Warriors (12-10) who defeated the Wildcats (3-17) 64-48 last year at home repeated with a thirty-point victory that moved WA up to a record of 5-2 in the conference.

Luther North played hard against the Warriors in the first half, seizing the opportunity to go on a scoring run in the second quarter. Axel Cerny's (12 points) nine first half points led Wheaton Academy towards a 35-22 lead at the half.

The team was led by Jeremy Parker (10 points) who was 4-of-5 from the free throw line tonight, as well as Nate Williams (11 points) who finished a number of layups and shots strong despite being hounded by the Luther North team. John Tillery (12 points) contributed off a number of fast break lay-ups, and the rest of the scoring was evenly distributed. Every member of the team scored tonight for the second straight game. Wheaton Academy looks ahead to Tuesday's game at Lisle, which should be both an exciting and intense game.

BASKETBALL TOMORROW: Come watch the freshmen play tomorrow morning (2/4) at 11:30AM against Chicago Hope Academy. Former WA and Wheaton College teammates Kevin Bishop and Jon Nielson will be back in the Warrior Dome once again, except this time on opposite sides, as Nielson is the coach of Hope and Bishop the Warrior freshmen coach.
