Wheaton Academy (12-11) entered Lisle's (18-6) brightly-lit gym Tuesday night in non-conference action looking to extend their three game winning streak. Unfortunately, the Lion's pounced over the Warriors in the first half, out-hustling them, and getting layups off loose balls. Despite Wheaton Academy's three 3-pointers to start the game off, Lisle led 15-13 after the first quarter. The second quarter Lisle outscored the visiting Warriors 17-8, with many sequences of poor passes and turnovers by WA. Wheaton Academy was still in the game, only down 11 points at the break.

The two rival-teams battled evenly in the third quarter, but WA started to gain momentum going into the fourth quarter, hoping to avenge the 78-63 loss last year at home. A slow but steady comeback was repeatedly cut short due to the Lion's high-percentage shooting from behing the arc. Wheaton Academy did come within two points with just minutes to go off of a Jeremy Parker (13 points) three-pointer, but the combination of Lisle hitting free throws and WA not being able to hit shots when they needed to, sunk the ship for WA who ended up falling 59-50.

Jeremy Parker led the team with 13 points, including three from long range. Benjamin Euler (11 points) contributed, and Joel Malmquist put in six points. The Warriors shot 39% from the field (16/41) and 53.3% from the free throw line (8/15). Wheaton Academy drops to 12-11 on the season with four games remaining, the next of which will be Friday at Aurora Christian.
