The John Albaugh/Axel Cerny duo won outright in the senior/lower classman game and then the seniors defeated the juniors in the second game. Quick stop at Sonic ("America's Drive-In") before returning to the hotel.

3:26 pm—Woke up to morning #3 at the Drury Suites and were greeted with a satisfying breakfast bar with a variety of both hot and cold food items. After an hour shootaround at Massac HS (home of the Patriots), we returned to the hotel for class time. It doesn't seem like this is the winter month of January, with Spring and even Summer-like weather we are having here. The temperature hit a high of 60 degrees today complimented by a nice cool breeze. Hardee's, Olive Garden, and TGI Friday's were among some of the decisions for lunch. Most of the team is spending this afternoon time to finish up an essay for the winterim class. Departure is 6:30pm for the 8:00 game tonight against Hopkinsville. Massac County defeated them last night pretty soundly. Hopkinsville runs strictly a 2-3 zone throughout their play -- and the Warriors should get the win tonight.

The team went to Massac County High School today at 10am for a one-hour shootaround to get some running and shooting in and to get a feel for the gym. Following a brief drive-by tour of downtown Metropolis - we returned to the hotel and had our winterim class on the book "Desiring God" by John Piper. We headed over to the mall across the street for lunch and a little looking around, then returned to the hotel until we'll leave for our 6:30 game tonight. Check back around 9pm or 10pm for the result and recap.

The team arrived in Paducah, Kentucky after a seven-hour van ride through Illinois, with some highlights including passing through beautiful Effingsville -- "the crossroads of opportunity". A quick stop at Arby's around 5pm sustained the team until their arrival at the Drury Suites, located within walking distance of Hardee's, much to the delight of Sean Berbert. The team will shoot around tomorrow at 10am before playing Sikeston from Missouri tomorrow night at 6:30pm.
