12/21/05 - Both A and B teams for the Warriors lost close games Wednesday afternoon at St. Charles North. The A team lost 44-46 in a hard-fought game led by Mark Fernandez with 13 points and Eric Albaugh and Jon Lang each with 6 points. The B team played in the closest game our theirs to date against Larkin. Wheaton Academy was trailing 39-38 with under a minute to go, but Larking converted on their free throws and finished with a 45-38 win. The team as a unit shot well from behind the free throw line, connecting on 11 of 15 attempts.

12/10/05 - The freshmen Warriors played two games Saturday morning at Westminster in Elgin. In the first game, Dan Schmitz led the way with 7 points, followed by Eric Allison and Sterling Witt who each had 4 points. However, in the end, the Warriors turnovers hurt them and resulted in a tough loss to Westministers freshmen team. Wheaton Academy won the second game, outscoring Westminster 20-12 in the fourth quarter. A 21-point peformance by Tim Streets and solid defense from Jon Lang and Mark Fernandes gave the Warriors a victory.

12/05/05 - Wheaton Academy traveled out to Hampshire where they lost 48-44 Monday night. The Warriors were in control of the majority of the game, but a 4th quarter run by Hampshire overcame WA by four points. Nine players scored for Wheaton Academy including Jon Lang, who scored a team-high 12 points.

12/03/05 - The Warriors defeated Illiana Christian 55-47 in overtime Saturday morning. Wheaton Academy played well defensively and offensively and diving on the ground for balls was not an uncommon occurance in this matchup. Tim Streets scored 13 points for the Warriors, Jon Llang scored 9 (5/9 FTs), and Ryan Seager added 8. Sam Scholes played well off the bench, nailing a three-point basket and finishing with 7 points. Mark Fernandes put his size to use grabbing a team-high 12 rebounds and sinking two free throws late in overtime to clinch the win. The freshmen team improves to 3-1 on the season.

11/26/05 - After being down 11-0 to start the first quarter, the Warriors came back with a 9-1 run to close the first quarter. WA struggled against St. Francis in the second and third quarters, but got within 8 points in the final period of play, but never closer as they fell to the Spartans 52-40.

11/25/05 - Coach Bishop and his team came out on top Friday afternoon over St. Edwards 45-34. Tim Streets (9 pts, 3/4 FG), Witt (7 pts, 2/3 FG), and Eric Albaugh (7 pts, 3 stls) led the team with the win. WA outscored St. Edward in each quarter and every member of the team played. The team will face St. Francis tomorrow at 2:30 PM.
