Big Men Stop Wheaton Academy |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Posted January 08, 2004 at 4:35 PM Wheaton Academy faced Westminster Christian Academy Saturday afternoon from St. Louis, Missouri in an almost empty Warrior Dome. Westminster's team consisted of many players over the height of 6'2, and they proved to be very effective in the post. The third quarter brought a run for the Warriors, inparticular Jason VanderVeen's performance of a steal, three point basket, a steal, and a layup - all within a time frame of about 30 seconds. WA played hard and were draining three's for awhile - but that was not enough to stop Westminster's big men from getting layups, as well as their outside shot.
