WA Falls to Timothy in PSL Contest
Wheaton Academy gives up offensive rebounds; don't hit shots

Timothy Christian grabbed numerous offensive rebounds in the first quarter, and converted on many second chance shots. Wheaton Academy played hard, with good intensity on defense, but didn't shoot particularly well. Nevertheless, WA and Timothy, who came into the game a perfect 3-0 in the PSL, were almost dead even, with Timothy in control of a slight lead, 28-19.

The Warriors went on a run at the start of the third quarter, hitting back-to-back three point baskets, closing the gap to just a 3 point Timothy lead.

Timothy pulled ahead, successfully breaking WA's press and getting layups, in addition to hitting their shots. Wheaton Academy found themselves in a nine-point defacit at the start of the fourth, and nevery got any closer, as Timothy jumped to a fourteen point lead with six minutes remaining.

Matt Almaraz scored well for the Warriors with 18 points. Mark Aloisio made three field goals and totalled 9 points, and Jeremy Parker added 6 points. Wheaton Academy plays again tomorrow at home, at an unusual time of 2:30 PM to accomadate the visiting Westminster Christian Academy team, who are coming from St. Louis Missouri.
